Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY) is a flagship scheme launched by the Government of India on 8th April 2015, to provide financial support to micro and small enterprises in the country. The objective of the scheme is to promote entrepreneurship, generate employment opportunities, and enhance the economic growth of the nation. The term MUDRA stands for Micro Units Development and Refinance Agency. It is a financial institution established by the Government of India, to provide financial assistance to micro and small enterprises. The PMMY scheme is implemented by MUDRA, and it offers financial assistance in the form of loans to eligible beneficiaries. The PMMY scheme provides financial assistance to micro and small enterprises in three categories, which are Shishu, Kishore, and Tarun.
